Socks at Salem

Our community is always creative, right down to our socks

Socks may not be the first thing most people think of when they think about self expression, but here students and staff take great pride in their sock game.

“Socks were a way I could express myself with clothes that weren’t that expensive and I always thought they were cool,” said senior Alexis Grasso.

Grasso is always sure to rock some amazing socks in class and is never shy to show off new pairs.

Math teacher, Mr. Spencer Garcia is also a fan of unique socks.

“I wear fun socks because one year I asked my grandma for some socks for Christmas, and she went off and bought me ten pairs of funky socks!” said Garcia. “Every year my grandma buys me new socks with designs, and I love getting to show off a bit of my personality in my socks every day. My favorite pair right now are Rugrats themed and have Tommy and Chuckie on them!”

Garcia’s socks never disappoint.

Socks, although sometimes seen as simply the “middleman” can actually be a great way to show off your personality. They can be customized in so many different ways that there is a sock for almost anything you might think of, even Salem High School socks!
