December students and teacher of the month
congratulations
January 5, 2022
Congratulations to the December Teacher of the Month, math teacher Mrs. Liz Kress.
“Mrs. Kress is an amazing teacher and she works hard to make sure information is made clear to all students. She doesn’t put down other students for not being caught up or not knowing as much. She reviews old information which is necessary with how much we’re learning. It motivates me to ask for help when I need it since I know she won’t judge me for not understanding. I also really appreciate her for taking the time to write out the steps for me when I asked as she did not have to do that, and it helped me understand what I was doing so much more. She also appreciated my art work and makes me feel really happy. Mrs.Kress is one of my favorite teachers and I’m so grateful she’s here and more so that she’s my teacher.” – Alex Dillahunt
Congratulations December students of the month
Freshman Ronnie Grabner
“Ronnie is an exceptional young man – he is polite, hardworking and always looking for a way to go above and beyond to help others. He is very involved in NJROTC and still manages to maintain the highest academic standards for himself. Keep up the good work, Ronnie! You are a joy to have in class!” – Math teacher Mrs. Jennifer Kavanek
Sophomore Nassir Foster
“Nassir is a wonderful student who actively participates and is dedicated to academic excellence. He consistently volunteers and is a leader in the classroom. His positive attitude is an inspiration for others!” – AVID teacher Ms. Kristina Berney
Junior Macee Dippery
“Macee is not only a phenomenal student, but a phenomenal citizen. She goes above and beyond to help her fellow students and staff members alike, whether it’s keeping classmates up to date as Social Media manager for the Class of 2023 or just showing a new student where to go. Regardless of where you look, Macee truly embodies what it means to be a Sundevil!” – Guidance Counselor Ms. Danielle McGovern
Senior Sara Zimba
“Sara Zimba is someone that lights up a room when she walks in. She is a hardworking student inside and outside of the classroom with being the editor of the newspaper, a member of the SCA, and Salem’s Leadership Workshop staff. But, the main thing that I love about her is that she always seeks to help others. She doesn’t want the credit, she wants to make sure those around her are doing the best they can. Sara represents Salem in the best possible way.” – SCA sponsor Ms. Meredith Holt
