Congratulations to the December Teacher of the Month Ms. Victoria Macoul
“She is the best teacher ever. She is always involved and makes everyone feel included. She is nice and deserving of this award, She does a lot for her 4×4 students and regular students. I was a regular student before I was a 4×4 student and she proved me right each time that she is an amazing teacher!” – senior Kaeli Thomas
“She is a caring and helpful teacher. She listens to her students and pushes them to succeed. I couldn’t ask for a better teacher.” – senior Alanis Rivera
“She is very caring, supportive, understanding, and always willing to spend extra time with any of her students, She makes sure everyone is doing good in their school and personal life. She makes everyone feel welcome and special. Overall, she is a 10 out of 10 teacher and person.” – senior Alexia Arnold
Congratulations December students of the month
Freshman Arya Tahmouresi
“Arya has a strong work ethic and is a role model for his peers. He always demonstrates enthusiasm and a love for learning and understanding science. His success here is phenomenal, (Principal’s A List for first quarter!) as this is his first year in the United States. We are so lucky to have him at Salem!” – Science Teacher Cynthia Kube
“Arya is a student who is motivated and persistent. He is a transfer student from another country. He has maintained straight A’s for both marking periods. He is a respectful student who desires to challenge himself academically. During his free time he enjoys reading.” – Guidance Counselor Michelle Lard
“Arya is the embodiment of a star student. He is always prepared for class, asks questions when needed, and has the best attitude. He has the kindest demeanor, and is such a pleasure to have in my class!” – English Teacher Mrs. Hollee Kessler
Sophomore Khnyah Chandler
“Khnyah came into the school about two months ago and literally jumped right in. She is one of the most interactive and dependable students I have in the class (and it’s first block when most students are still sleepy!). I can always count on her to have her assignments submitted on time or earlier. She doesn’t hesitate to ask for help or clarification. One of her most outstanding traits is helping her fellow classmates. She would probably make a great instructor!” – Science Teacher Mrs. Carol Macdonald
Junior Sebastian Vera
“This student set out to create a challenging project and has demonstrated persistence and perseverance in working towards his goal. He thoroughly researches each step of the process and, through determination and diligence, he is nearing completion. His efforts set a shining example for others to follow.” – CTE Teacher Mr. Jason Borte
Senior Vi Meares
“Vi is always encouraging her classmates and bringing her best most uplifting attitude to our classroom and hallways here at Salem. Despite the challenges we’ve faced in distance learning, Vi is constantly offering assistance and a positive outlook. We appreciate you, Vi!” – Distance Learning Teacher Jamie Caruthers
