Big Surprises Around The Corner
Frozen 2 Movie Review
December 1, 2019
After six years of anticipation, Disney finally satisfied our heart’s inner child with Frozen 2. But the question is, does it grab our attention as much as Ana and Elsa did in the first movie, or will it be as mundane and unnecessary as past sequels such as those of Mulan and Pocahontas.
Through the use of past characters and some new twists on old songs, the movie has a theme that can interest both kids, teens, and adults.
The main plot once again revolves around Elsa’s search for belonging. When she starts to hear voices, she believes it might be her chance to find people who understand her and that she may finally figure out why she was born with magic powers.
Ana, Kristof, Sven, and of course everyone’s favorite, Olaf, go along for the adventure. The gang sets out into a mysterious enchanted forest to find the voice. As a result of this, they encounter obstacles and discover key elements of their kingdom and Elsa and Anna’s family’s past.
Through all the dramatic turns and emotional events Olaf, although having matured some from the first movie, still provides the classic comedic relief at all the right times.
Along with having great music and a plot that will keep the audience hooked, the pleasing return of the original cast, Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad makes the movie that much better.
Whether Frozen 2 has the same impact as the first movie remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, the sequel will make you want to build a snowman all over again.
