Why should you watch Gilmore Girls? Let me tell you why.
Gilmore Girls is a comedy drama that first aired in 2000, directed and produced by Amy Sherman-Palladino. The show takes place in Stars Hollow, a lively, small town in Connecticut. Viewers are immediately introduced to multiple characters that tons of people know and love today. Lorelai (played by Lauren Graham) and Rory Gilmore (played by Alexis Bledelare) are shown walking into the town’s Local Diner, Luke’s, where we meet one of Lorelai’s love interests, Luke Danes. Luke is known for his iconic grumpy, sarcastic, cold personality.
The show quickly grew in popluarity, ultimately releasing seven other seasons plus a spin off. Fans are still wondering if they will be greeted with another look into the Gilmore’s life via a reunion, movie, or additional spin off.
Throughout the show, our favorite mother-daughter duo, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, face multiple dilemmas together, and even though most of them aren’t necessarily serious, it still makes a great watch.
Gilmore Girls tackles all types of topics, including family dynamics, relationship problems, romance, and various coming-of-age issues that viewers relate to.
Lorelai and Rory Gilmore are quite the opposite of each other at times. Lorelai being a high school dropout in order to raise Rory, while Rory has been on a mission to get into an ivy league college since she was born. Despite all the differences they have, the two are inseparable.
The show is perfect for fall. I always get a cozy vibe watching it. I would highly recommend it for anyone who loves comedy, romance, and a good sitcom.
