On September 12, 2023, TikTok officially launched its shop, TikTok Shop, consisting of a variety of different products and opening the eyes of viewers on the app. For a while, I struggled with buying body products that were accessible, affordable, and aromatic until I found out about body butter.
Body butters are a blend of natural butters and oils that are used as skin moisturizers. I bought my first body butter on September 26th from Skincare Bakery Shop, and ever since then I’ve been addicted to body butter. The texture feels firm, but when put on the skin it feels very soft and creamy. I recently bought body butter from two shops on TikTok, Skincare Bakery Shop and Honeydoll Soap.
Skincare Bakery Shops offers a variety of butters to choose from, such as golden vanilla, passion pomegranate, bronzey body butter, etc. The shop recently added its Halloween collection, such as the vampire skull body oil, blackberries and vanilla shimma body oil, pumpkin apple britter butter, and more. I have bought three of these butters to test out, the scents being golden vanilla, pumpkin coconut latte, and pumpkin peanut brittle. I absolutely love the butters provided by this shop. It moisturizes my skin and smells absolutely amazing. Some body butters also come with glitter, providing that pizazz for some consumers on the app. Overall, I give Skincare Bakery Shop 5 stars.
As for Honeydoll Soap, I was not a big fan of their brand. Their butter was considerably different texture-wise, providing a creamier melted feel and not the firm feel of the butter I wanted. I bought three of their fall butter smells consisting of pumpkin, marshmallows, and honeydew. The smells were placed in mini-sized containers wrapped with this beautiful Halloween wrapping and included two cute fall-themed stickers. Although I was not a fan of the butters and may not buy another product from them again, they had one of the best shipments I’ve received on the app. Overall, I give Honeydoll Soap a rating of 3 stars.
If you’re looking for a nice-smelling alternative to traditional lotion, I recommend trying body butter and maybe even ordering it from TikTok Shop.
