My favorite diner of all time, IHOP, officially released its new Willy Wonka menu. On December 15th, I walked into the diner and viewed the radiant purple food items they had to offer. They had Wonka’s Perfectly Purple Pancakes, Hoverchok Pancake Tacos, Daydream Berry Biscuit, Fantastical Wonka Burger, Scrumdiddlyumptious Strawberry Hot Chocolate, and many more!
I bought three items to try out, the purple pancakes, the berry biscuits, and the dreamy lemonade. The cost was budget-friendly, ranging from $6.99 – $12.99. The wait for our food was decent, considering it was packed and they were short-staffed.
Each item tasted wonderful, my personal favorite being the purple pancakes. They were the best pancakes I have ever tasted at this location. I am so sad the pancakes will only be available for a short amount of time and not all year round because the flavor was just out of this world.
The lemonade was delicious but overpriced considering it contained food dye, had only a swipe of cream on the corner of the cup, and a piece of cotton candy floating on the top. I would say the lemonade is not worth the price and could instead be exchanged for something cheaper. The drink also does not offer free refills. The berry biscuits were very delicious, but could not compare to the extravagant purple pancakes.
Overall, I believe this is the best menu IHOP has ever come up with. I rate IHOP’s new menu a 4.5 out of 5 stars. If you didn’t try it out, you missed out because it was only available until January 7th.
