Once the bell rings for lunch, students go their different ways, whether it be to buy lunch, talk to friends, or even just hang out with their favorite teachers.
Did you know that the school gym is open during this time? The gym offers many different sports to play, such as volleyball, basketball, and badminton. You can also use the gym equipment provided.
One Lunch gym time is broken into the two halves of lunch, rotating with a maximum number of people who can enter the gym and play. You have plenty of time to get lunch either before or after, depending on which half you go to the gym. One Lunch gym is a privilege for students to enjoy sports they love in their own way and to have freedom while playing them.
“It’s a great way to keep active during school hours, meet new people, [and] interact and make friends,” said sophomore Shania Huber.
Going to the gym during One Lunch can be very enjoyable for those who want to play games and sports they normally wouldn’t have time to do. Even if you just need something to occupy your time during lunch, One Lunch gym is a great option. It is there so students can have the opportunity to exercise in their “free” time.
One Lunch gym also has supervision to ensure the safety of students. There is an administrator and/or teacher present at all times.
