Did you know that Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. are owned by the same company–CKE Restaurants. Many people have noticed that their menus are almost identical. Carl’s Jr. restaurants are mainly located on the West Coast and the Southwest corner of the United States, with a couple of locations in the Northeast. Hardee’s is located in the rest of the country, except for Wyoming and Oklahoma, which have both Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s.
As far as the menus go, the restaurants are nearly identical. Carl’s Jr. serves green burritos, whilst Hardee’s serves red burritos. Carl’s Jr. also offers salads: a classic West Coast option.
If you go to Hardee’s and order a “Red Burrito,” you could expect to get seasoned ground beef, refried beans, and hot sauce stuffed into a tortilla and topped with red enchilada sauce and melted cheddar blend. However, Carl’s Jr. “Green Burrito” contains a charbroiled chicken breast, melted American cheese, mild green chile, lettuce, and Santa Fe sauce on a potato bun.
I am more of a Carl’s Jr. fan. I find their favors better. However, do not just take my opinion on it. If you’re on a vacation out west and make sure to stop a Carl’s Jr. and compare it to local Hardees. And as always, “Feed your happy!”
