There is a new thrift store in the neighborhood, and it’s massive. VA Vintage is an up-and-coming spot in the old Big Lots location on General Booth Boulevard. It’s the second location for VA Vintage, the first is in Chesapeake. The grand opening was on April 12th.
The store is incredibly similar to another store in VB called Painted Tree. Each spot inside the store is owned by a specific vendor, resulting in the store having a wide variety of items.
The location is large and easy to find, separated inside by vendors. Each vendor sells something different, ranging from old, thrifted clothes of a specific style to vintage jewelry, all the way to old collectables and furniture.

Vendors sell items like Pokémon cards, necklaces, rings, dresses, crystals, wall art, vintage shirts, books, furniture, and a lot more.
“Every booth has its own niche style, and I feel like everyone from every aesthetic can get something there,” said sophomore Zoe Clevenger. “I do wish that a bit more of the booths were true[ly] vintage, but I genuinely love the place. I’ve gotten so much cute decor, and the prices are… fair.”
Styles also change from store to store, including old, rocker vibes to classy prom-like dresses. From long, draping necklaces to simple chic ones as well. There seems to be something for everyone inside.
Because each store is owned by a different business, prices can change depending on where it is that you find an object. Prices that I noticed ranged from $7 for a necklace to handmade dresses being sold for $150-$200.

While there, I got two necklaces and one pair of earrings for 14 dollars. My sister got a shirt, a pair of pants, and a necklace for 20 dollars. If you know what you are looking for, then you can find it at a decent price.
If you like vintage items, it’s worth a drive over to VA Vintage this weekend.
