Going digital takes on a whole new meaning
With all schools closed for the remainder of the school year we want to be a place you can go to connect with Salem
April 3, 2020
A message from the SunDevil Times staff.
In January, when the SunDevil Times began our journey into becoming an online newspaper we had no idea how important that decision would soon become. Similarly, when we left the building on March 13 none of us had any idea that we wouldn’t be coming back this academic year.
The cancellation of the remainder of the school year left many of us feeling that we were deprived of our goodbyes, especially seniors. Not to mention Academy performances, Spring sports, ring dance, prom, graduation, and much more, but we are finding ways to stay connected.
These are difficult times for all of us. The SunDevil Times is slowly returning to full capacity. You will see a few stories about COVID19 and how we all have been impacted by it, but you will mostly see stories that are just like what we normally do like profiles, reviews, human interest stories, Q&A’s, etc. It is as important for you to read about things other than COVID19 as it is for us to write about things other than COVID19.
We hope our site can be one more place the Salem community can come to stay connected.
We wish all of you the best. Stay safe!
