The Roads Bistro is a tapas restaurant located on Princess Anne Road. It is open from 5 pm-Midnight seven days a week. On Wednesday, May 9, 2023 a friend and I visited the restaurant.

May 7th marked three months of The Roads Bistro being open and it was closed for a private event. When we visited two days later, the restaurant was still in a celebratory mood.

Jazz music played when we entered the small yet welcoming space, laughter filled the air, and you could really tell the people inside were there to enjoy themselves. The area is filled with comfortable seating arrangements but my favorite piece to see was the fireplace surrounded by a leather brown couch.

Evening was peeking through by the time we made ourselves comfortable on the couch, so we were given the sight of the most beautiful sunset through the glass windows.

The small size of The Roads Bistro makes it a cozy experience. Although a wider space could potentially bring in a larger crowd, due to how intimate of a space the bistro is, customers never have to worry about not being able to hear the live music or waiting on an order for too long.

The tapas style menu encourages diners to order several things off the menu to share. My friend and I shared a Cheese & Charcuterie board that was priced at $22 dollars, but I could happily say the money was worth it. The cheese tasted like it had been freshly crafted and the combination of accouterments made our mouths water before even tasting the delicious combinations.

I am not a big fan of brussel sprouts unless they are cooked and seasoned the right way, so I was nervous to order them, but I was delightfully surprised to see The Roads Bistro met my brussel sprout expectations. The Brussel Sprouts au Gratin glazed with balsamic vinegar and parmesan cheese was a tasty appetizer and well worth the $8 dollars.

Overall, the ambience, food, and service at The Roads Bistro makes this chill  restaurant a 10/10 place to hangout and eat with friends and family.
