With the COVID19 global pandemic, the ‘Stay-at-home’ order, and social distancing, most restaurants nationwide have closed their dine-in services. Restaurants that have the capacity have opened crub-side pickup options or joined food delivery services like DoorDash.

DoorDash has over 500 restaurants to choose from in Virginia Beach alone! My family and I have now used DoorDash many times with various restaurants, but the most recent time we ordered off of DoorDash was from Noodles & Company.

We placed our order around 6:30PM and our food was originally set to arrive around 7:20PM. At about 7:00PM we received an update that the arrival time for our food was getting pushed back from 7:20, then to 7:43, then to 7:58.

We decided to contact our driver at 7:05 to find out what was going on with our arrival time getting pushed back by the minute. Our driver told us that she was waiting on another order. Shortly after we contacted her, though, we received a message notifying us that she was on her way.

Our food arrived at our house at 7:30PM. It was not hot, but it was warm. It was very good food, but I would have to give this experience with DoorDash a 7/10. My other experiences would be a 9/10 because we didn’t have that many problems with getting our food.
