The thrill of a snow day is unmatched. It’s a break from the routine, a chance to trade chromebooks for snowballs, and a day to create memories that last long after the snow melts away. This year’s snow day brought joy and freedom to students eager to have a day off from school.
“My absolute favorite thing to do during snow days is to go outside, fill up a cup with fresh snow, then come back inside and pour a soda in the cup to make a snow cone,” said junior Rylee Partridge.
Seniors Adyson Jordan and Maddy Callahan find joy in the winter’s weather, sledding and having snowball fights, creating memories together.
Junior Aniya Murray and senior Terrell Lewis make winter unforgettable, laughing as they create snow angels together.
I always like a nice hot chocolate from Wawa and sit by a fire on snowy days. I love being warm in a cold environment and just enjoying the surroundings.
A break from school’s routine is a gift to be treasured. These moments of freedom and beauty remind us to find joy in the present time and never take these moments for granted.
